Evony Guide

When you sign up to become a player of the online role-playing game Evony, you may be astounded by how seemingly difficult it is to progress through the early stages of this game. There are many Evony guides available for beginners. Here is an Evony guide that I found to be most useful in the early days of my game.

A beginner to the Evony game will automatically receive 7 days of protection. This seven days of protection is beneficial, however it can be easily turned off by simply just constructing a town hall on day 5 of your membership. The Evony game is made up of a series of quests and rewards are given to each player when the player completes a certain quest. It is a really good idea to look closely at the rewards that are being offered for each quest. There are quests that pay larger rewards, so it is beneficial to try to do those quests quickly. The building of a town hall is one of those quests that pays a larger reward.

There is a good chance that you might be starting your Evony career on a brand new server. Should this be the case, the cost of resources are likely to be higher, thus the cost of maintaining and building structures, cottages, buildings will also be high. Because the cost of maintaining your cottages and buildings is high, there is a need for you to build only as many as you need to be able to complete your jobs and quests. The taxes on these structures is also high, therefore the more buildings you build, the more tax you will be charged. Should the occasion arise where you do not have or earn enough money from your quests to pay all of the costs of up keeping your properties, your properties can be sold to lessen the burden.

Resources are an important part of the Evony game, it is recommended that a beginner focus on resource production and cottages for paying tax. Lumber is the most valuable resource and a resource that you should focus on in the early days. Your resource production efforts can be focused in the following way – 10% food, 15% iron, 15% stone, and 60% lumber. Al of the excess lumber that you cannot use can be sold, this money can be used to purchase the other, cheaper resources in case you need them. There will be occasions when the 10% food or the 15% iron and stone is not enough.

It is important for you to think about what kind of troops and defenses you are going to need BEFORE your first 7 days of protection runs out. These defenses will need to be organized and or built, so it is better not to leave it too late. On a new server, it is a good idea for you to focus on just warriors and archers to raid and loot surrounding villages as well as traps and towers for the protection of your own villages when others come poaching. I hope you found this Evony guide useful, feel free to have a look around for other Evony guides here on this site.
